Our comprehensive Heat Pump Service includes:
- Hydro cleaning and disinfection of the indoor unit to prevent bacteria buildup on the coil and throughout the unit.
- Cleaning of indoor unit filters, vanes, and outer covers.
- Checking the condensate drain, flushing it with disinfectant, and unblocking if necessary.
- Inspection of electrical terminals and components for signs of soot.
- Running the unit in both heating and cooling modes to check air-out temperatures.
- Ensuring the outdoor unit base is level and secure.
- Checking for obstructions in and around the unit, coil, drain, and electronics to improve efficiency and performance.
- Inspecting flare joints and fittings.
- Tightening valve caps and checking electrical connections.
- Clearing the coil.
- Verifying that refrigerant pressures are satisfactory for both heating and cooling.
- Cleaning the outside of the casing.
- Inspecting for the presence of insects and vermin that could damage the electronics.
We also recommend cleaning filters approximately every three months. This can be done by you, or if needed, we can also handle it for you. A full Heat Pump service is far more extensive than a simple filter clean and should be carried out by a specialist.
